Last updated: July 24, 2026
This policy describes how Smart Taxes collects, uses, and protects information voluntarily provided through this website, especially through the consultation request form.
The form may request a first and last name, phone number, email address, preferred contact method, service of interest, and a brief description of the inquiry. It also records the language and website origin of the request.
Do not send Social Security numbers, ITINs, banking information, passwords, tax returns, tax documents, or other confidential information through this form.
The website does not allow or request tax document uploads. Its form is used only to establish initial contact. After an in-person or virtual consultation, Smart Taxes will identify the documents needed and the protected channel to use.
If Smart Taxes later authorizes email transmission, sensitive information should not appear in the subject line or message body. Documents should be encrypted or protected with a strong password, and the password should be communicated through a method other than email.
We use the information to receive the request, understand the general need described, respond to the person, and coordinate a possible conversation about Smart Taxes services. The form is not used to prepare or file a tax return.
Form information is transmitted through an HTTPS connection to Google Apps Script and delivered to the Gmail account used by Smart Taxes. The website is hosted by Hostinger and its code is managed through GitHub. These providers operate under their own policies and terms.
When someone visits the website, the hosting provider may automatically record basic technical information such as the IP address, browser or device type, access date and time, and pages viewed. This information may be used to operate, maintain, and protect the website. Smart Taxes does not use these logs to prepare tax returns or to identify visitors for tax purposes.
The website includes links to social media and other external platforms. When someone visits those services, information collection and handling are governed by each platform's privacy policy. Smart Taxes does not control their practices or the information a person chooses to provide to them.
Smart Taxes does not sell information submitted through the form. Access may be provided to preparers or service providers who need the information to address the request, operate the form, host the website, or comply with a valid legal obligation.
Information is retained for the time reasonably necessary to address the request, maintain related records, and meet applicable obligations. Smart Taxes seeks to use reasonable administrative and technical measures, but no email or Internet transmission system can guarantee absolute security.
You may request information about the data you submitted, ask for a correction, or request deletion where appropriate. Contact smarttaxes2@gmail.com. Smart Taxes may need to verify your identity before responding.
This form is not directed to minors submitting personal information on their own. A responsible adult who believes a minor provided information may contact Smart Taxes to request review or deletion.
Smart Taxes may update this policy when the form, service providers, or information-handling practices change. The updated date will appear at the beginning of this page.
